We have reached Friday! Hopefully, it'll be a nice, relaxing day heading into the weekend. We have a ton of games planned, including one tonight, two on Saturday and on on Sunday. In addition, we're planning to go to brunch on Sunday. And I'm working half a day tomorrow, too!
Yesterday, patients were annoying as fuck. I'd describe my style on the phone as very warm and conversational. I make small talk and kind of invite the person to join in a sort of nice rapport. I had more motherfuckers who were like talking to a post than I've ever had in one day before. It was just a little frustrating. And then to top it off, I had a patient who was all over the place, telling me that he wanted to be bumped to "top priority." He had an appointment that day, so I was a little confused. I asked him if he meant the insurance and he just kept ranting. I asked him point blank if he meant the insurance approval about five times. I offered to transfer him to our Financial team to discuss it. He didn't want the financial team. Finally, I had to send him to a supervisor, because he was getting kind of abusive towards me. Just really frustrating. Like the audio version of a dude on the bus ranting to himself. I feel bad for the tech who had to scan him later.
Turns out the homeowners insurance won't take care of the tree. They said "if it had fallen on your house, sure, but her fence is not our business." So, who knows how much that'll be? Hopefully not too bad. Honestly, our deductible was $2000 anyway, so if it comes in under that, we'll be making out. It's only one panel of a privacy fence, so hopefully not too bad.
Sunday, we're going to try brunch at a place down in Greektown. They are called Estiatorio Plaka . If you look at the brunch menu, it looks amazing. I just want a tasting platter of everything. I'll probably end up getting the Bouagatsa French toast, which appears to be a custardy toast with fruit, whipped cream and honey. I have no idea what Jess will be getting. They were still torn. If the food is half as good as it sounds, this will definitely be added to our regular rotation.
And on that note, I'm going to hop off and do some prep work for tonight and tomorrow's games! Everyone have a stellar Friday!
