Happy America Hoo Rah! Day. I'm not real happy with my country, so that's all I'm going to say about that. It would be nice, just this once if Sweden or Finland would invade and impose their socialistic will on everyone. That's all I'm saying.
I actually had a bit of a freak out the other night about the state of the country and the upcoming election. It necessitated an anti anxiety pill to get to sleep. Which took care of that night, but the anxiety is still there, just low level.
I just took my very first Vyvanse. I figured it's a day off, so it's a good time to give it a go. I'm a little nervous, but we'll see how it goes.
Today, we have plans. In honor of the US, we're going to go get Indian food.
Dad is very squirmy and grunty this morning. It's kind of making me insane.
I booked the flight and hotel for CONfab, so I'll be going to Chicago in 3 1/2 months. I'm excited and nervous and horribly guilty. I hardly ever spend money on just myself, and this is a fair amount. I booked it through one of those payment plan apps, so the tickets are non refundable, though I did get travel insurance. I'm a little leery of traveling 2 months post shoulder surgery, but I think as long as I check my bag and wear my sling, I'll be okay. As long as I just have to put my stuff under my seat, I'll be okay, just no stowing bags overhead.
Not a whole lot going on today. Time for me to put on pants and prepare my stomach for that good Indian Food. Everyone have an excellent Thursday!
