You made it to the weekend, go you!
Today I don't have anything really planned. There was talk of maybe going to the Asian Market for some produce, but I don't know if that'll actually happen or not. We'll see how the day goes. Aside from that, it's just a lot of relaxing and being bored. Same thing for tomorrow and Monday, actually, though somewhere in there will be a trip to see Dad. I think my sister is going today. poisontaster for lunch, as she will be passing by in her travels. But aside from that, absolutely nothing going on. I'll be climbing the walls.
Yesterday was pretty busy. We hadcoyotegestalt's morning game to play in, which was a lot of fun, and harrowing. I for sure thought our cleric or our monk were going down, but miraculously we ended the fight with the same amount of people as we started. I was playing a sorcerer, and having fun with it. As per my usual, I managed to debuff the big bad so they couldn't do everything they wanted, which is always entertaining.
Once that was done, I went up to see Dad, who was in physical therapy. I got to watch him pull himself up four times! He's not able to stand all the way up yet, but he gets his ass out of the chair. According to his therapist, he's making good progress. He's already improved a lot, so they're hopeful. Honestly, he's trying harder than he has in the past, so I appreciate that.
Once I finished there, it was home to prep for the game, since it was at 7, and by 4:30, I'd done nothing more than set up the room. Whoops. So, I did some frantic making of characters and setting up of maps, and skidded to the finish around 6pm. Go team me!
The game was a lot of fun. I enjoy Goblin Stone one shots, because they're well written and not 100% wall to wall combat. There's actually story in there too, and space for role playing.
Aside from all that, not a whole lot going on. Still haven't heard from Hopkins about setting up my physical and drug screen, so I assume that'll be on Tuesday. Hopefully, I can get it done quickly and move on, so I'm ready for my start date.
