Todays subject is the winning song from the 2021 Eurovision. Only 5 months til the next Eurovision!
Okay, so it's 2024, huh. I don't really do resolutions. I'm not the type who can change their behavior from one big declaration. There's a small cynical part of me that is sitting here thinking that 2024 started the same way 2023 ended, with me unemployed and poor. But it also started with friends, and I'm hoping that is the way it carries forward.
Today, I have an interview with a marketing firm. I don't know what the job really is, but I'll see if it would work as a temporary job, even. Hopefully, in the meantime, unemployment will come through. Progressive is supposed to give me a decision this week, and I'm hoping a few others do as well.
Yesterday was a mostly game filled day. We finished up
coyotegestalt's game in the morning. Then, as we were finishing up that,
poisiontaster had to cancel her game due to migraine, so I figured why not? And I posted that I'd run a MotW game after we got back from visiting dad.
I drove up and showed Jess how to find the Castle, and we visited for a little while. He had a bit of a pity party at the beginning about how he couldn't do things, and we pointed out that he just needs to keep trying and things will get easier. And he admitted that he could do a little more today than on Friday. So hopefully that'll give him the motivation to keep working.
While we were playing the first game, my sister got a phone call from the rehab letting us know that his heart rate was a little high when he first woke up, but it settled down after his meds. But just to be sure, they did labwork, a chest xray and a urine culture. Which makes this officially more communication than we've got at the last four or five nursing homes combined. I feel like they probably have this under control, so I'm not going to worry.
The evening game went. okay, though I wasn't a huge fan of the module. It had some interesting ideas, but all in all, it wasn't very fleshed out. Oh well, it was still fun, just meant that I had to do a little more work. I think people had a good time, so that's fine.
Today, we have a day off from games, then tomorrow is PT's Brindlewood Bay game, and then another day off, and then the three year anniversary (!) game of Frostmaiden on Friday.
Okay, going to go get some more coffee in the hopes that I'm awake by 2:30 when this interview is. Everyone have an excellent Tuesday!
