Yesterday was a total shitshow. I had my worst call yet, and got called into the principal's office. I finally voiced my concern about my trainer, though, and they said they'd see if they could get me someone else. What that will mean, I have no idea. They did also point out to her that she's expecting advanced work from a total newcomer, and that it's not fair to me, which was somewhat gratifying. All in all, it sucked and I left feeling bruised and sad.
Today, for the holiday, we're going to be in the main center, since they said that they'd have room for us. I'm hoping it's my good luck charm.
We're bringing in potluck for breakfast, so that'll be nice. I don't have to worry about taking food. Especially if I eat a little later in the morning, I'll be good.
I've been utterly horrible at eating while I'm working. Yesterday, I had three pigs in a blanket for breakfast, and two meat sticks for lunch. I'm not good at preplanning my meals, so I usually end up with what I call the redneck charcuterie board. Mozzarella cheese balls and meat sticks. Which is awesome, but nothing that will keep my blood sugar stable.
I've got a weird glucose sensitivity where if my sugar drops below 100, I start to feel it like my sugar is low. (Technically it's not considered low until it's below 70.) I've been flirting with the 80s a lot lately and I know that's probably not helping my performance. So, I've gotta figure something out that I can have carbs while I'm at work.
Okay, time for me to go forth and get myself together. I need to leave a little early since we're in the main center today. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! Everyone else, have a most excellent Thursday!
