I really need to get used to this new schedule. Right now, it's very confusing for my body. Some of it is that the time changed around the same time, so I'm all messed up. I'm starting an hour earlier, but getting out two hours earlier, which feels like it's starting at the same time and getting out an hour early. My body is so thoroughly messed up. I get home and feel like it's time for bed, and it's not even 4pm.

I like the new schedule. It gives me a little more time with Jess before my sister comes home, and I'm enjoying that. Plus I can help out a little more with dinner, which is nice.

Yesterday, I made ham and egg biscuits which turned out to be an awesome dinner, and not particularly difficult. God bless the cooking show that told me how to shir eggs. Toss the eggs in a muffin tin, throw them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, depending on how you want the yolks and viola! Egg rounds that are the perfect size to go on some Grands buscuits. Walmart even sells Buscuit Ham slices.

Tonight, I'm grabbing food from the Jarretsville Creamery, which looks really good. It's an easy drive from work, so I'll pick it up on my way home. Unless they deliver, in which case, I'll do that.

Work has been a little frustrating. My trainer has decided that she'd rather have us take calls on Saturday when we won't be dealing with the administrative bullshit calls. So, that's another day of observation and policies. I wanna just get my first call under my belt! But we have the most meticulous trainer, so we'll go with it. It's just a little frustrating, since I can hear the other trainees taking calls. I'm sure in the long run, I'll appreciate it, but right now, it's a bit annoying. On the plus side, Saturday, we'll be alone in the center, so if I muff up, it'll just be us.

My shoulder's been seriously pissed off, and I don't know why. It's been a few years since it's been this bad. It'll get better, but it's making getting into bed a challenge. We have a weighted blanket and right now it's somewhat painful to pull it into place. As usual, I have no idea what I did to it, just being 50, I suppose.

It's going to be a challenge working in 911. You're supposed to type in all caps, and I'm going to find that difficult. I want proper typing. But apparently it makes it easier for dispatch, so I'm going to learn.

Aside from work, there's not a great deal going on. Once I settle into the schedule, it'll be all good, but right now, I'm still adjusting. Today is my Friday at least, so I'll have two lovely days off. Mind you, I've got stuff to do both days. Thursday is Yoda's grooming on Thursday, then my psych appointment on Friday. Then, work Saturday-Tuesday.

I can't believe it's only two weeks til Thanksgiving. It seems like it's blown by. I guess with class and now working on the floor, it's gone quickly. I'll be putting in my order for our turkey from Cracker Barrel today.

Okay, time to get myself in gear. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
