It's Friday! And that means we've made it to the weekend. My sister took off work since Sunday is her birthday, so I got to sleep in today. I slept til 8:30am, which is super late for me. Upside, extra sleep, downside I feel a touch out of sorts, and my sister is being interactive.
Yesterday, after I posted, Jess came upstairs with a massive migraine, so I sent them back down to sleep it off and called out of work so I could take care of dad. Fortunately after a few more hours of sleep they felt much better. Still migraine-y, but not as severe.
As a result, I didn't do a whole lot. Filled out job applications, fretted that I hadn't gotten any responses on the ones I'd put out. I know, that would be super fast, and tbh, a lot of the ones I put in were government jobs, so I might as well cool my jets. They'll get back to me in a month or so. It's just mildly frustrating. Now that I've decided things need to change, I want them to change now. Which, even if I got the 911 job, the training class doesn't start til November, so there's a bit of time there. I'm just horribly impatient, so I will continue eyeing my inbox in a desultory manner.
Today, I have not a whole lot going on. I have the mammogram at 11:30, whoo. I was going to go hit a new bakery before it, but now that's going to be later. I deserve a chocolate croissant as a treat if I'm going to go get my boobs smushed.
Tomorrow, though! Tomorrow we get to go down to the DC suburbs and have lunch with friends! We're going to have Thai food and friends and then we're going to come home and celebrate my sister's birthday, since we have game on Sunday. I might try the bakery's cupcakes if they look good. We can celebrate today if so. If not, we'll hit somewhere tomorrow on our way home. I'm sure there's some awesome bakeries between DC and Baltimore.
Okay, I suppose I'm going to go get myself together for boob smushing. Everyone have a wonderful Friday!
