I am awake and alert-ish. This is primarily thanks to the cat who found a red plastic cup and began slapping it around the kitchen at 4am, which woke me up with a jolt.

My back is still fucked up, and I'm not looking forward to going into the office and dealing with the furniture that already makes me hurt. The drive home should be fun. I'm definitely going out the way that doesn't have speed bumps, because ow. I really think we should have one day a month that we can decide to work from home instead of the office without penalty. But alas, no.

The car search continues. It's looking like I'll probably be getting from Carvana, because they're offering me the best deal. I went to a dealership yesterday and it was just a clusterfuck. They pulled every bullshit move that dealers pull--Keeping the keys to my car after they go to "appraise" it, lowballing the trade in (by a lot) not having the car on the lot that I went to see despite letting me book a test drive ("oh, it's at our springfield location") And really, I know my credit is horrific, but goddamn, they were not going to work with me at all. They're supposed to "reach out to the bank" and see if they can get better terms, but lets be real, that's not going to happen. They're going to come back with maybe slightly better terms, but no where near where I need it to be.

There's a few other cars in the area that I could go test drive, but honestly, after this experience, I'm not sure I want to. Being able to do the entire transaction without having to see a human being sounds much better. Though, I will admit, there's a part of me that wants to go to their Gaithersburg car vending machine and get the car there, because it sounds kind of cool.

Aside from that, things are status quo. We didn't have a game this Friday, so I'm going to run Apocalypse Keys, which I'd backed the kickstarter for months ago and not had the time to run. I also have a game on Saturday, a fully homebrewed New Orleans themed Monster of the Week game and the ongoing campaign of Mine Finders, which is a continuation of Lost Mine of Phandelver.

Dad is doing okay. The oxygen seems to be making a big difference, so that's good.

Okay, time for me to get ready for work now. everyone have an awesome Thursday!
