It's Saturday, and now the wait to see if they're going to send dad home today and fuckup both games we have scheduled!
I'm really hoping they keep him until at least tomorrow, not only because of the games, but because I also seem to have fucked up my back pretty significantly. My lower back is killing me. When I'm sitting, it's not horrible--I mean, it hurts, but not severely, but when I need to get up or move around, it really fucking hurts. Spasms the whole nine yards. I am functionally useless right now, and I hate it. I had to have Jess pick up my gatorade for game last night because I couldn't bend to get it.
Despite that, I did go down to the hospital for a couple of hours. Dad was very chatty, and wanted to tell me about his army days and then about his job as a printer. Okay, to be fair, it was mostly about his supposedly sainted boss (who fucked him over real good when he closed the company). I didn't see his attending doctor, but the cardiologist stopped by. She seems to think he's pretty stable on what they have him on, but says the Afib is probably permanent, which I kind of figured. But overall, he seems to be doing well. If he wasn't still on oxygen, I'd be less worried about bringing him home. I'd still rather we wait a couple of more days.
Aside from visiting the hospital, most of yesterday was devoted to trying to rest my back and also a bit of prepping for the games I have this weekend.
Last night, Frostmaiden have finished the majority of the story, and are about to get into the endgame proper. There's only a couple more fights before they're finished with the module! Mind you, the story will go on, possibly with a few week break while I get shit set up, but it will continue. Granted, the last two fights are pretty tough. One of them is the big boss fight, so it better be difficult. It should be fun. Our next session is in two weeks, so I have time to prepare.
Today, we have our Mad Mage game, and then a oneshot I'm running. Hopefully, they get to go off, and everyone has fun.
Okay, I supposed I shall consider pants and shit now. Everyone have a stupendous Saturday!
