Ugh, I don't want it to be Thursday. Thursday means actual pants. I'll have to decide which pair of jeans I want to deal with today.
I continue to wake up when Dad calls my sister, even though we're a floor away. Last night it was 12:49am, and I woke up to him calling. And calling. My sister is a little slow getting up due to chronic pain. and dad has no chill and is 3/4 deaf. So he calls, she says "coming" and he doesn't hear it. He's impatient/afraid no one will come, so he calls repeatedly, until she practically bellows "COMING!" In the meantime, I debate coming upstairs to help, and have my adrenaline pumping. It takes a while to settle back down.
Work yesterday was frustrating. My main system was lagging to the point that it was taking upwards of 15 seconds to do a step. I restarted the computer, the wifi, the VPN, the program and nothing helped. And of course it was my inbox day, so I had a lot of cases to do. It was driving me up the wall.
So, my sister is looking for a work from home job, because her job sucks. And I'm not sure our wifi can handle that, so tomorrow we have an appointment for them to run Fios. Hopefully it works well for us. Comcast wasn't all that great. T-Mobile has been good, but occasionally glitchy, and if both of us are going to be working from home, we need solid, stable internet. We'll see if Fios fits the bill. (And we'll see if she actually gets a wfh job. She can be a bit flaky on follow through).
Poor Jess, dad's home healthcare schedule is going to do them in. Yesterday we had the OT and nurse, today it's PT and tomorrow, it's PT, OT, and home health aide. Plus, the aforementioned Fios installation. It's going to be a lot. The dog will be unhappy tomorrow. At least I'll be home to run interference somewhat.
Then, tomorrow we have Curse of Strahd, and Mad Mage on Saturday, and
poisontaster is running a new campaign on Sunday. I'm looking forward to it!
We also have to find time to take a trip to the dispensary and IKEA to pick up tickets for their Midsommar Buffet. It's an all you can eat thing they do for, well, midsummer and Christmas. All the meatballs you can shove in your mouth!
I suppose I should consider putting on pants and getting ready for work. I've gotta decide what to take for lunch. I got a shiny new lunch box, so now I need to figure out what to put in it! Have a terrific Thursday!
