Thursday and it's time to go into the office. Whoo. I don't wanna. Aside from justifying having two big buildings, I'm not sure Why we need to come in. The official line is that "togetherness" is one of IKEA's core values and that in that spirit, we need to go in. Which is total bullshit. Nothing I can do about it, since they don't ask grunts for their opinions. So, in I shall go. But on the plus side, this is my last office visit for three weeks. I'd taken off the two Thursdays before we leave for vacation. My idea was that I'd prevent getting infected with Covid before vacation, but that ship sailed.
The morning is pretty quiet, but then in the afternoon, I have both my one on one and my interview. I'm not stressing about either of them. The one on one will be fine, my boss fucking loves me. And the interview will be what it will be. I'm going to go in and do my best, but I'm just not going to stress. I'm really not expecting to get it, so that's a little freeing.
I did go yesterday and got my hair cut so I look nice for the interview. I looked in the mirror on Tuesday and just kind of winced. The down side of a pixie cut is that when it grows out a bit, you just look shaggy. I wanted to get trimmed before Disney, and my stylist had an opening, so I went in. Y'all, my hair is the shortest it's ever been, and I love how it looks. She did clippers for the back and scissors for the top and it looks really cute.
Tomorrow, it's off to the groomer for Yoda, which Mr. Poopy Butt needs. He was supposed to go last week, but then the entire family had Covid, so we rescheduled. Aside from that, the weekend is just wall to wall D&D. Which should be fun.
Dad is finally speaking up a bit about his pain level, so hopefully they're going to get him back on the correct pain meds. The doctor at the hospital, who I do not like, took him off his pain meds, and sent him to the nursing home on Tylenol as needed, instead of hydrocodone three times a day. So now, they're getting him up and trying to work him and he's having difficulty because he's hurting. Well, no shit!
Okay, guess it's time to figure out what I want to wear for this thing. Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
