I was perfectly happy being in bed this morning. I'm pretty sure I could have just rolled over and gone back to sleep after my alarm went off. But alas, I didn't. Instead, I dragged my carcass out of bed and up the stairs to be yelled at by the cat.

The cat has apparently decided that she no longer likes the salmon pate, and will only nibble it in a vague desultory way. This of course, flipped us out because the cat wasn't eating. However, I gave her beef this morning, and she chowed down. She's been having some acid reflux lately, so we've been trying to give her a little bit of food on a regular basis to keep her tummy from getting upset. But after losing both Sam and Grace within the last year, I'm paranoid. She's my baby Boodle, and I love her.

Yesterday, work was mostly boring. I was done my shit by the first break, and mostly did nothing the rest of the day. Today will probably be the same. I could do more, but I'm trying to stick to my guns about not cleaning up other people's messes.

My managers (real manager and former former manager who still sort of stands in) have started asking J about learning Delivery Updates. They're concerned that M and I will both get the job, and they'll be left high and dry. Honestly, if we get it, they're fucked, and it would be good that they know it. They'd need to train a minimum of three people to do the updates, and we just don't have that many people with the understanding of Excel, or the personal urgency to get them done. J would be more than capable, but he hates doing them.

My former former manager, S is hoping I'll convince J. I sent him an IM, teasing him about trying to fill my job before I've even interviewed and he immediately called me. I got an inspiring speech about how I'm going to do awesome. He also thinks I should continue to do everything known to mankind and pick up slack for people. Which isn't going to happen, as doing that has burned me out. The better option would be to make people pick up their own slack, especially while they're in the office. One guy, I swear, every single time I walk past his desk, he's playing solitaire. It's enough to drive a girl crazy. At least try to look busy like the rest of us!

After a little more consideration, I have added another baddie into my battle for Friday. I'm not sure I'll use her, but I may. It depends on how much damage the players have taken by then. There's 9 of them, so I'm pretty sure they're going to breeze through the beginning of the fight. After that, we shall see.

They've never really had to face another party, so it'll be interesting. Hopefully, everyone's dice will be ready to roll well.

Okay, time for me to get myself together. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
