Morning has arrived, though you wouldn't know it, looking outside. It's a grey and rainy day, and this time of day, it is pitch dark outside.
Yesterday was a little bit obnoxious. First off, my head was still tender post migraine. Second, everyone was home, and it was loud. My sister kept getting the dog revved up and he was loud. I've mentioned before that she doesn't seem to recognize that even though I'm home, I'm still working. I wonder if I've caused that somewhat by getting up now and then to move around, get snacks, refill the water, etc. I think I probably do it more when she's home, because I get anxious and need to move around, so it may be a self fulfilling prophecy. Oh well, holiday's over, so things should be back to normal today.
Work was sparse. I helped out with the LQRs, but as the day went on, my headache came back and I had a really hard time concentrating, so I kind of stopped. Ended up leaving an hour early, which I hate to do, but oh well.
I don't know if we'll have gotten our market reports yesterday. I guess we'll see when I log in this morning. If they didn't come in, I'm going to have a boring day, because I am definitely not doing any extra work unless my manager directly asks me. I'm tired of helping everyone else, because the week J&M were both out and I asked for help, someone did exactly one of my reports one day. Out of seven. Per day. And I had to explain to her what to do. It was not exactly helpful. Also, yesterday, when I was helping, I was it. No one else jumped in, even though you could see that Market Reports and Inventories were completely cleared. If everyone had taken one or two, we could have conceivably cleared it out, but nope, just me.
I have spent the last couple of days poking at the next session of Frostmaiden, which returns from a 5 week hiatus on Friday. My players have indicated in the past that they want a challenge, so I've created one for them. They're 13th level and with the non-player characters they've picked up over the course of the game, it's a big party, so it can be a difficult task to challenge them. But, on the other hand, they have SO many enemies, some of whom they've never even seen. Some of whom they don't know exist yet. But they will. Oh yes, they will.
The last really tough fight they had was the first fight with the BBEG, Auril and her Roc. The evil wizard only caused them a few moments of distress, and the fiends from hell did a little more damage, but they really only fucked them up with its death throes (Balors explode upon death.). Since Auril was months ago, it's time to give them another hard fight. I hesitate to give multiple bad guys, because holy shit they're hard to keep track of, but I'm going to deal. Initiative is going to be a bitch, may I add.
I can't wait til Friday. I mean, sure, I have my interview on Thursday, but Friday night is where it's at. Saturday morning, I have D&D with Jess' friends, but that's it for the weekend, thankfully. Two games in a day was a little tiring.
Okay, time for me to go get my ass in gear. I usually sign on at 7:30 and it's almost 7:20, so I need to get dressed and get more coffee. Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!
