Ugh, Thursday. Gotta get ready for work. Ew. I know I've said it before, but I really hate going into the office. I will whine about it til the end of time at this rate, but god, it sucks. I will spend most of my day trying to look busy, while not being busy at all. I've tried to go slower on my markets, but I am not good at it. I'm just meant to barrel through them. Oh well, I don't think anyone actually cares. There's a guy who plays solitaire almost the whole day, so me chatting with J probably isn't going to be on anyone's radar.
My new computer is supposed to come today while I'm not here to play with it. The dog will alert Jess to the presence of the UPS man and they'll get it right in, so I'm not worried about that. I just wish I could be here to unbox it right away and pet the sleek machine. It's been awhile since I had an Apple product, but I used to love my MacBook Air, which is exactly what I ordered.
I was a little worried, because there are some bad reviews on youtube about the model I got. But it seems like those are people who tried to do 4k video editing on the basic machine, so it heated up a little bit and lagged. I am definitely not going to be doing anything that intense on it. But most of the problem seems to be that Apple made a giant stride with the last generation of MacBooks, and this time it was a much smaller gain, so fanboys screamed. I expect it to work just fine for what I do, which is mostly just surfing the net. If my panel gets chosen for Confabulation, I may make a powerpoint on it. Whoo. I get crazy with my computer, obviously.
My right knee seems to be a little ticked off at me. It's fine, just a little sore and stiff, like it's recovering from an injury. I don't remember doing anything to it, so that's a little annoying. It doesn't feel unstable or anything, so I'm not worried about it. It's just bugging me.
Okay, time to get my ass in gear. Gotta get dressed and have some more coffee to start my day. Everyone have a lovely Thursday!
