Happy "Oh thank heavens, I can relax now" Day! It's also Sunday, which means back to work for me, boo. I really am not feeling the work today. I think I will put in for some time off around the holidays next year. Probably not the whole week, just a few days. Maybe the 25th to the 28th or something. Because getting up this morning was much harder than it needed to be.
Our Christmas was pretty good. I was of course, up by 6:30, Jess was up at 7, and Yoda finally had enough around 8:30, and woke up my sister. We got up Dad at 9, and proceeded right into presents. Everyone seemed to like their stuff, so that was good. The chromebook was a big hit.
I got some shirts of varying colors, as did Jess, so we'll be able to steal each other's clothes this winter as usual. It was all stuff I needed, so that was nice.
Then we relaxed for a while. Tried to watch the new Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City, but when I got up to get something for Dad, the dog stole my seat, so that didn't happen.
Around 3, I tossed in the prime rib and we heated that up for an hour and 20 minutes. It made for an early dinner, but we had a game planned for the evening, so I wanted to get that out of the way.
Dinner was very tasty, though the prime rib had a little bit of a kick to it. Not in a bad way, just a little bit of spice. I just cut the edges off of Dads, and all was good. Part of the kick on mine might have been the horseradish sauce I kept smearing on mine, but it was so damn good. They sent this delicious, creamy sauce that was just amazing.
Not long after dinner, I started with a massive headache. Figure I'd lay down for an hour and a half, and be good for the game, but it was not to happen. I ended up postponing the game, because my brain was trying to squish it's way out of my eyesocket. Yay migraines.
Instead, it was too bed early for a night of shitty sleep. Today, my head is still sore, though not nuclear, and I generally do not want to deal with the bucketload of markets I'll be doing with both of my coworkers out. I only have them for one day, then I'll be doing delivery updates Monday-Wednesday. I won't have many people helping with said updates, so they're going to be a giant pain in the ass.
Okay, I have whined enough, and now it is time to start getting my lazy ass together for work. Have a good Boxing Day, everyone!
