Greetings on this D&D Friday! I'm supposed to take Dad to the doctor this morning, but as I seem to have caught a mild case of my sister's stomach bug, I believe I will be rescheduling. I hate to do it on such short notice, but I also don't think they want us all in there even with masks on. Also, I don't feel great, and while I probably could do it, I'm going to be nice to myself and not.
Work yesterday was actually briefly interesting as I got a new project to do around lunchtime. We had over a hundred orders that got stuck as soon as they were created and couldn't progress forward. They all needed to be cancelled and refunded. My manager basically handed it over to me and let me do what needed to be done, so I recruited a few helpers and got to work. It was at least something to do for the afternoon. And, though I'm a little sour on it at the moment, it's another thing I can point to at the next interview.
I'm slowly getting over not getting the job. At least I think I can conduct myself professionally in the follow up interview at this point. No tears or venting at this point.
They sent an announcement yesterday that we're going to start a "cooperative" workspace in tertial 2, which means we'll be going back to the office. Whether this will be full time or part time we have no clue. Tertial 2 means it can be anywhere between January and April. Scuttlebutt was January, but who knows. Needless to say, this did not make anyone happy. I knew it was coming, but it still sucks. I'm hoping it'll be a two days in three days off. I just don't know that the buildings have enough room for everyone to be there and social distanced. We've just got too many people now. Nothing to be done for it right now, though. Just going to go on as normal.
Okay, time to contemplate whether my stomach will handle coffee this morning. Have a good Friday everyone!
