Upright a little early today. I'm not sure I'm enjoying it. Part of it is that I forgot to take Rybelsus when I woke up at 3am, and so I had to take it when I woke up at 5, which means nothing to eat or drink for half an hour. I'm missing my coffee something fierce. Oh well, only another 10 minutes and I can really get my day started.
Yesterday was a long and boring day. There wasn't a whole lot going on, so I helped out with the delivery updates for most of the time. One of the market managers had sent two giant trailers that came in late, so I helped with rescheduling all those orders. It wasn't thrilling, but it kept my brain from eating itself in the time leading up to the interview.
The interview went...okay? I didn't think I was doing that well, to be honest. The questions were tweaked just far enough off of what I was expecting that I felt like I wasn't doing a great job of answering. Apparently, I wasn't as awkward as I thought, as I got put through to the next stage. I have an in person interview today at 10am, which was really fast. IKEA normally is much slower on the draw.
The interview today is scheduled for an hour, which is intimidating. And per my manager, I'm interviewing with a "numbers guy." So, I'm supposed to emphasize my accomplishments, and the results therein. I'm a little nervous, but I believe I can do it.
Of course, this set off a whirlwind of "what the fuck do I wear?" I've lost enough weight that the few interview clothes I had no longer fit. Also, no interview appropriate shoes. The shoes were solved by a trip to Walmart, and a cute pair of booties, but I didn't have enough cash on hand to go to get new clothes. Fortunately, I'm only a little smaller than my sister, so I was able to find a cute outfit. Pants are a touch long, but I'll deal. And there was a pink and red striped blouse I got for her from Torrid that fit well, so I'll at least look professional.
The downside is that I have to work on site for the first half of my day. I'm coming home after lunch, though and working the rest of the day from my little office.
Okay, gotta get more coffee and get myself together. Have a good Tuesday, everyone!
