Today's subject line is from the awesome zombie Christmas musical Anna and the Apocalypse. With the holidays on the horizon, I think I need to do a rewatch.
Yesterday, as predicted, was boring as hell. My markets finally came in around 4pm, but up til then, I was doing busy work when I was doing anything at all. Mostly, to be honest, I spent the day reading Ursula Vernon's new Saint of Steel novella, Paladin's Hope. It was as per her usual a fun, fucked up and yet still fluffy romp of a book. All of the Saint of Steel books are awesome, and usually pretty inexpensive. I'm on her Patreon, so I get her novella's automatically, which is a great perk.
My manager was still out yesterday, so no word on my Performance Eval. I hope everything is okay with him. It's unlike him not to warn that he's going to be out, or to poke on in the morning and let us know.
Today, I should have all my markets to do this morning, plus a list of orders to be cancelled that one of our Operational Directors sent yesterday. I didn't have to do it, but I figured I'd probably end up working it one way or another, so I might as well just do it. That'll take me at least through lunchtime, most likely, maybe longer.
It's going to be a busy weekend. Dad has doctor appointments on Thursday and Friday, and then, my sister goes away for the weekend on Friday. This will mean that I'm stuck sleeping upstairs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I want her to have a vacation, but I'm not looking forward to it. Plus, we have D&D on Friday night. By Monday, I should be thoroughly exhausted, as I'm not expecting to sleep very well.
