It's vacation day! The brother in law will be here around 2pm, and we shall go forth. I'm hoping since we're leaving before 4pm, the traffic won't be so bad. I never look forward to DC traffic, but we'll manage.
I still have a couple of errands to do before we get on the road. I need lancets for sugar checks and a new EZPass transponder, since ours has vanished between being flipped between cars. There's only the one toll that I know about, but I'd rather not get it sent to me. And the lancets are definitely needed. With walking around so much, I might want to keep an eye on things, just in case I go low.
Aside from that, it's just going to be a lot of waiting for the time to go. That will be the worst. I did end up taking the whole day off today. With what I needed to get done, it just made sense. Plus, I had the time. It'll make it a nice 5 day vacation from work.
I want this vacation to be perfect, but I know that's not realistic. But Jess works so hard taking care of Dad that they deserve a good break from everything.
For my own reference, things that I need to do today:
1. Go to Weis for the transponder.
2. Go to Walgreens for lancets and emergency sugar pills.
3. Pack the pills.
4. Pack the food and coffee (coffee very important)
5. Pull the tricycle out of the back of the car.
6. Go, go, go!
Okay, I'm going to go forth and get myself together and have some more coffee. Gotta be ready to get in gear once everything opens. (Technically, it's all ready open, but I have to wait for Jess to get up, and they're having a deserved sleep in.) Have a great Thursday, everyone!
