So, somewhat positive news from the vet. Gracie apparently has a nasty infection, so it's antibiotics for 10 days, and an appetite stimulant and an anti parasitic, just to be safe. She's not happy with us at the moment, but hopefully it helps. I'm still anxious as we had another cat long ago who had the weight loss, and they said it was thyroid. We spent the weekend basically torturing her to get the thyroid medicine in, and still lost her the next week. But I'm trying to be hopeful.
She's cost us an unholy amount of money over the last two days, and it's going to be an incredibly tight week for everyone. If it helps, I don't care.
I'm fucking exhausted. This has been a rollercoaster, and not the good kind. We've got vacation in two weeks, and it seems like forever away.
We're going to get some cash out of the retirement account, so it's not as dire as it could be, but it still sucks at the moment. It'll probably take a little while for that to come in, so we'll be getting the basics food wise this week. Dad will whine that he doesn't get a pile of treats, but he'll have to deal.
To be clear, we're not going to starve or anything. It's just going to be tight.
