This morning doesn't seem quite as early as yesterday, thankfully. I did wake up with a bit of a headache, but I think ibuprofen will help that. Ragweed is especially high in this area, and I think it's getting to me. I'm very stuffy this morning as well, which is probably why I have the headache to begin with.
Yesterday was boring. My market didn't come in until almost three, so I didn't really have much to do in the morning and early afternoon. Then, of course, everything came in, so I'll have plenty to do this morning, especially if Boston sent theirs in.
I did get to shadow with one of my previous managers and see a little bit of what she does in a morning. Mostly it seems to be so many chats at once. As well as absence trackers and other administrative things. She's going to come into the office next week the day that I'm there, so I can shadow her again.
I've decided that I am going to go into the office for the meeting next week, because of the potential for adverse effects to my future promotions if I don't. I still don't love the idea, but I'll wear the heavy duty mask, and I should be okay.
I started watching the Dungeon Dudes on youtube, at Jess' suggestion. I've enjoyed them so far, and they seem to have some interesting ideas, especially as it pertains to fun magical items. The module I'm running is fairly low on magic items, but has creatures that can only be hit by magical weapons, so it's become necessary to add a few things here and there. Plus the endgame has them going against a (minor) deity, so they'll need all the help they can get.
This weekend, which is game free, I'm thinking we might go to the Johnny Appleseed festival at the farm near us. They'll have food trucks and apple cider slushies, both of which sound good. Plus, it's all outdoors, which is important. Our positivity rate is only 4.75%, but I'm not willing to take a risk.
Okay, that's about it for today. Time to get more coffee and think about getting myself together for work.
