Ugh. Back to Sunday. I don't really wanna do the work today. Maybe another cup of coffee will help that. My coworker is still out until Tuesday, so I'm doing all the markets for another two days. (This of course, assumes that they sent them in.) I didn't get the Texas markets since Sunday, so they are going to be overgrown as hell. I have a dread that that is going to be the majority of my day.

Yesterday was good. We didn't do the dump, so we decided to make the trek to the Waffle House for brunch. We ended up going to a different one than usual because traffic was shitty and made us divert, but that's fine, they're all the same. Ours was slightly understaffed, and fairly busy. We had to wait about ten minutes for a booth. Food was as usual tasty and abundant. I managed to finish my steak and eggs, but not my hashbrowns (which is sacrilege) and Jess left a good chunk of their chocolate chip waffle, but did manage to kill of the hashbrowns. We brought some home for my sister and father, and our total bill was $33. Gotta love it. I tend to leave an extra big tip when we go to Waffle House as it seems a pretty thankless job, so hopefully that made someone's day a little better.

Then, we got home and lazed about for a while, at which point, I decided that I wanted Banana bread. Sadly, our local farm market was out of that, but they did have strawberry slushies and apple cider donuts, so that was a good consolation prize.

By the time we got back, it was time for Monster of the Week! We picked up from last week, where the Wild Hunt had been summoned, and were about to wreck some shit.

This week was chaotic, as the Wild Hunt quickly made it's intentions known, heading towards the race organizer who was heading out of the parking lot. They managed to keep the Hunt away from the car long enough for it to escape. With the road barred, the Hunt rode further into the swamp with our heroes in close pursuit. The organizer had stopped at the other end of the course to gather some things, and the Hunt headed right for him! He saw the Huntsmen and started scrabbling away towards his Tesla. Too slowly! He was caught! But our Divine did a clutch play, and knocked him free, using their teleport skills to take him to the parking lot of a Denny's, far, far away.

The Hunt immediately disengage and start the ride towards that Denny's. The decision is made to magically ward the nature center, and teleport the organizer back there for safety.

This is accomplished, and he is retrieved from the Denny's, where he was verbally assaulting the workers to try to get a phone to call for help. Unfortunately, the Divine's teleport roll was especially bad, so they were forced to get an Uber. With the road still barred to them by the Spell Slinger, they made it uneventfully, though upon seeing the Wild Hunt, the Uber driver kicked them out a bit short of their destination.

One of the volunteers for the Marsh run showed up for her shift, since the organizer didn't bother telling her it was cancelled. The wild hunt shows back up, and arrows in on her, but the team is able to get to the nature center.

The Spell Slinger uses his power to talk to the lead Huntsman, and discovers that they plan to go after everyone who has desecrated the wild world, starting with this fun run.

The decision is made to fight!

A fire blast from the Spell Slinger sets the roof of the nature center on fire. The organizer freaks out and darts out the back, and one of the huntsmen gets him! He becomes a fourth huntsman! The Expert pulls a clutch move and banishes the new huntsman's horse! The Spell slinger traps him, and he begins to pull a Tam Lin, shapeshifting into beasts and eventually a live coal. This is kicked into the water, and the spell is broken. Back to three Huntsman.

The battle rages on, as the Divine puts out the fire with judicious use of the center's fire extinguisher, and the Flake goes and grabs the cast iron pots in the kitchen to use against the Fey.

A few injuries were had, but eventually, our heroes emerged triumphant, with a new fey enemy!

(Seriously, this crew has so many enemies and allies, it's insane. I have a wealth of backstory to pick from each game.)

Now, I shall have to see what else I can get them into in two weeks!

Have a good Sunday all!
