Proof that I'm am thoroughly out of touch with television, there's apparently a show called "Physical?" This of course, made me sing the Olivia Newton John version, which led to our subject for the day.
Thanks to lack of sleep, yesterday was a little annoying. My markets continued to be late/not come in before I left, so I was working in the project folder almost the whole day. Which also meant answering questions about how to do a new kind of cases that have started popping up. I made a training manual on them, but why would one want to read that when I'm right there on Teams? To be fair, some of it was down to our incredibly fiddly system that throws up errors like that its job. But some of it was stuff that I know is in the manual.
I had my meeting with the People and Culture group, which was pretty good. It at least told me that I'm going in the right direction with the stuff I'm doing to make myself more attractive as a potential team lead. It made me feel a little more confident that if I can get an interview, I can sell myself a little better this time.
After work, I made a spur of the moment decision to get my hair trimmed. It's been about 2 years, and it was long and shaggy and full of dead ends that made it very prone to tangling. I got it chopped up to my shoulders. Not too short, but not nearly as long as it was. It feels nice, and much lighter. I figure it's a good thing for summer.
Today, I have a pedicure at 3pm. I don't really want to spend the money, but I like the idea of my doctor being disapproving of my foot care even less. And since said feet have been in slippers almost all the time, they're a little gnarly. So, I'll go soak for a while, and get my toenails prettied up, and painted a bright color.
Then, D&D time!
