Woke up early with a bitch of a backache. I got up and am sitting quietly, waiting for the ibuprofen to work. I need to plug in my computer, but that would involve moving. It says it has an hour left, so it'll deal. That's one thing I love about the Google Pixelbook-it has an amazing battery life. Up to 14hrs on one charge. It makes D&D and MotW very easy. I just unplug and head in the office and I don't have to worry about a thing. It was expensive for a chromebook, but for what I got, totally worth it. The keyboard is a pleasure to type on. Not that I do that much typing aside from my morning posts and the occasional MotW mystery. But one of these days, I'll find another fandom, and then I might want to do writing again?
We ended up cancelling getting a new card yesterday, due to snow. We pushed it off to Friday, which is annoying, but I'll deal. It's probably keeping me from blowing more money on Grubhub, because I really want shrimp Pad Thai.
Work was minimal yesterday. My one market didn't come in until about half an hour before I left and the other didn't come in at all. So, I'll have something to do this morning at least. Though on the one market, I may wait til the new one comes in, rather than do the work twice.
The steaks came out pretty well. Even Dad liked it, which was a shock. They were ribeyes, so they were pretty tender. I think I probably could have salted them a little more, but all in all, it was good. At $15 a pound, I cant do it often, but it made a nice treat.
When the stimulus check comes in, I'm thinking about getting a swank desk chair. The one I have is an old one with the rough fabric and a low back. I'd like something a little more supportive. I'm considering a gamer chair, though I don't really need a footrest. Also, I kind of want to try it out before I buy it, so it may just be a trip to Staples, so I can pick out a good one. On the other hand, Wayfair has some nice looking ones. I wouldn't be able to try them, though. Then the eternal question-get a plus-sized chair or a regular one? Technically, a plus sized one might be better, but they're usually too tall for me, even at the lowest setting. The joy of being fluffy.
Okay, the ibuprofen is kicking in, and I feel like I can bend now.
