Work was boring as hell yesterday. I managed to get all my work done by two, and spent the rest of the day bored as shit. Even the email inbox was dead, since the coworker I like was doing it, he had it down to almost nothing.
On the good side, apparently they screwed up scheduling the meetings, and we did not have one yesterday. Down side, I do have one today. I am fully braced for any ridiculous shit that comes up. I know I'm not the only one, as good coworker is also dreading it a bit. He and I will be in the metaphorical corner, probably not saying shit the whole time.
One other good thing, my boss called me out of the blue and asked if I was happy with my schedule. He'd like to move me to the 8am-4:30pm schedule. I suspect this is the precursor to being added to the delivery updates team on a regular basis, but I'd be okay with that. I just really want the early schedule. It still has to be approved by higher management, but my manager seemed pretty confident that he could get it for me.
I took a half day today, so I'm looking forward to that. The outside door handle on our sliding glass door sheared off, making it very difficult to open the door. I have a new handle and lock coming in today, so hopefully, it'll get hear early enough that I can install that. If not, that'll be my job tomorrow.
Also tomorrow, D&D. I have no idea what my murder muppets will get up to next. It'll be entirely up to them, which is terrifying. The first game, they murdered some goblins and killed and skinned a yeti. (My paladin had a new fur coat made out of it.) They also adopted the goblins mistreated trained polar bears, and now have a sleigh pulled by them. (They rolled really well on animal handling.) My team is apparently the White Witch from Narnia. God only knows what they'll adopt next.
Thankfully, my doctor's office finally called in my Ambien. Though, only a 30 day supply. Since my appointment with the new doctor isn't til March 5th, this is going to be an issue. We'll be repeating the same dance again in a couple of weeks. But for the moment, I can have sleep, so that's the important part.
