Sleep was very elusive last night. I went to bed early, and woke up at 10:30pm, feeling that I'd certainly slept for 6 hours. After that, I think I dozed some, but mostly, I was awake. I mostly try to stay still, so as not to disturb Jess, but I think they had a equally rough night. Happy Halloween.
We just put out a bucket of candy at the bottom of the driveway and let the kids serve themselves. I'm not sure it was a good idea, but the thought of not doing it was worse than doing it. Plus, the possibility of property damage if we didn't was a factor. I'd like to think that it wouldn't be a problem, but to be on the safe side, we put out the candy. I went to the Walgreens and bought out their stock of KitKats, since that was basically all that was left. Plus, we all like them, if the kids didn't clean us out. Which they didn't. Mostly, yes. But there's about 15 miniatures still in the bucket, so Jess is going to have a good, chocolate fueled day.
Masks yesterday was a lot of fun. I was able to use my teleporting to good effect, and now we have two lightning guns. Apparently, the GM was not expecting the combat to go quite the way it did, because I had a lightning gun and wasn't hesitant to use it. (It was basically a distance taser, but I had fun with it.) We then saved a bunch of people from a militia of "Alien Hunters." Which seemed to be anyone they didn't like. My co-player held them off, and I teleported them out of the cabin they were caught in. Again, I'm not sure the GM expected that, but it was a blast.
Aside from that, a quiet Saturday. If not for the lack of sleep, I think I'd be recharged and ready to hit work. As it is, I'm rather meh on the whole thing.
