This has not been a good morning. Toilet promptly clogged up and no amount of plunging seemed to work. Turned out, I was using the sink plunger and not the toilet plunger. My sister got up to my tearful "Both toilets are clogged!" and sorted it out within five minutes with the correct plunger. It was not my finest moment. Also, I hate plumbing.
It has put me in a grumpy mood, which is not the way I wanted to spend my weekend day. I have too much shit to do today.
Last night, we had a google meet with two of our dearest friends. I couldn't get my camera or video to work, which was a little annoying, but it was still nice to talk to them for a while.
poisontaster expounded on her love of the Untamed, which we will have to give a shot. We'd watched the first episode, but were thoroughly confused. I've been told to start at the third ep and go through thirty, then watch ep 1&2. So we'll try that.
Today, we have Russian food, which I have to leave at 11:45am for. It's not until 12:30pm, but it's downtown, so I want to leave a little extra time. I'm looking forward to the Shaslik, but it's the sweet cheese blinchiki that hold my heart. Plus an array of pastries, which will be tasty. I'll miss the hot tea with jam to sweeten it, but I'm glad we get some food.
I'm trying to remember that I'm in the middle of a pandemic, and I should take it easy on myself, but I don't feel like I'm doing anything, and it's making me a little crazy. I'm basically a hermit. Once in a while I go out to fetch food, but otherwise, I'm always home. I work at home, I have groceries delivered. Food is usually delivered to me. It's for the best, since they've proven that reinfection with COVID is possible, but it's not easy. I'm really grateful for my RPGs, which give me something to look forward to every week. If it's not Masks, it's MotW. I'm really enjoying being GM, but I also enjoy playing, so it's all good.
I finally started working on the next MotW game. (I say finally, like I don't still have another week before I need it.) I'm not sure how long this one will run, it all depends on my players. Sometimes they go in completely different ways than I expect,
This weekend is Masks, where we play superheros in training. We're determined to take the training wheels off, and have started a fight with the evil pharmaceutical company, which we are totally outmatched on. We shall see how this goes.
Okay, now I feel a little less grumpy. Yay!
