It feels like it should be at least Wednesday. Ick. I slept for shit last night, which could be part of it. I woke up around 12:30, and never got fully back to sleep. I dozed off and on, but it was fitful at best. Ah well, I had my two cups of coffee, and I'll deal. I have a little headache, but hopefully, once I eat something and have ibuprofen, it'll get better.
Interesting COVID notes: the virus has changed my taste buds. Most oils now taste somewhat rancid. Peanut butter is just nasty now. We had KFC for dinner on Sunday, which was an experience. It wasn't as bad as the peanut butter, but there was definitely an icky note to it. I ended up pulling off the delicious breading, and just eating the meat. No clue if it's going to be a permanent thing. I only found one study on it, which didn't have any conclusion. If it is, it's going to be a pain in the ass, because my lunch was frequently a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Apparently, some people have it bad enough that most things taste bad, and they're just not eating. I'm not that far gone, thankfully. Plus, being diabetic, I kind of have to eat, or risk a nasty sugar drop.
Work was busy yesterday. More special projects that took til about five o'clock, then my Chicago market had come in. I'll finish that up today--I just didn't have the brain power to finish last night. I don't know that I have the brain power to finish it today, either, but I'll manage.
First debate is tonight. I won't be watching. I just can't deal with the Cheeto, even to watch Biden (hopefully) destroy him. Plus, I'll be putting Dad to bed. I'll read the summaries tomorrow, inevitably. My attempt to not doomscroll is not going great. I'm trying to find the balance between being informed and not freaking myself out. Thank heavens for cute cat pictures and videos. Two of the people I follow have new kittens and they're adorable.
