I've been busy all ready this morning. Put in a big instacart order, which will come between 2-4, and went to the Amish market. I spent way too much there, but I got a pile of awesome stuff out of it. Apple sausage grillers, to be well, put on the grill tomorrow. Steak, cheddar and barbecue stuffed pretzels. Hawg wings, which made a lovely breakfast. As well as some cheese and baked goods.
All in all, it was a productive morning. I also finished Courtney Milan's new book, The Duke Who Didn't, which I was lucky enough to be chosen for an ARC (advanced reading copy). It was exactly what I wanted--a frothy romp with two likable characters. Do recommend.
Next up, Seanan McGuire's new book A Killing Frost which is the 14th of the October Daye series. In general, I recommend Seanan's books. Some haven't been to my taste, but overall, her writing just works for me. Feed by her alter ego Mira Grant may well be my favorite book of all time. Or at least is up there with Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles, which got me through middle school.
Not much else on the schedule for today. Which is good. I just want to sit back and read my book and eat tasty treats from the market.
(links are to Amazon, because that's what I normally use.)
