Fuuuck, I'm tired. I had a migraine last night, and that always takes it out of me. Plus, I've got that day after feeling that my brain is...tender and sore, like it might flare back up at any second. Always fun.
Aside from that, my excitement for the day was having homebrew McMuffins for dinner. We used the egg cooker, which has a little container you can make "fried" eggs. They're technically steamed eggs, but they work. The size is a little larger than the English muffin, but it's all good. They were very very tasty.
Watched part of Summerslam last night. I have a long standing relationship with wrestling. I can't quite seem to quit it. It is where Jess and I met, after all. (On a wrestling fanfic board, back in the day.) I've watched it since I was about 13, and we've had our ups and down since. For a while, I stopped watching, but a couple years later, I was checking back in, and it snagged me again.
The trick is not to think of it as a sport. It's a soap opera fused with a stunt show, and it's pretty good at that. It's been having a rough patch, but shows like last night make up for some of that. Good matches, surprising title changes, and at the very end, a huge comeback.
They've made what they call the "Thunderdome" which is tiered monitors, with fans watching from home. It worked out well, and brought back some of the excitement. There's something about watching the reactions of people that makes it better.
I didn't watch most of it live, as I have a semi-strict bedtime, because sleep issues, but I watched the parts I was interested in this morning, and may I just say, Roman Reigns remains one of the prettiest people, though I'm not a huge fan of the wild facial hair.
Roman is one of the people I looks at and say that he's just hot, not wrestling hot. Wrestling hot is entirely different, and tends to be based off the charisma someone has, along with superficial prettiness. Seth Rollins, wrestling hot (though not unattractive, his primary draw is that he can give a promo and wrestle like no one's business. He makes everyone he wrestles look better.)
It was a good show, and more of this please.
