The cats continue to love the bed on my desk. If it's not one, it's another curled up in the sun. The bed is very rarely empty. I like having company while I'm working, even if it's just to listen to Boodle snoring quietly.
I took my morning off to make a Costco run, assuming it would be less crowded. I guess it wasn't bad, but it was still pretty busy for a Thursday morning. I got what I needed, though as usual I forgot something. I didn't have it on the list, so it didn't happen. It's nothing I can't get elsewhere, just not in such a big container. *shrug* It happens. I remembered the big stuff, like Dad's cereal. He will only eat Special K with red berries. Period. That's been his breakfast for years now. I would be bored as shit with it by now, but nope. He wants his cereal. They have giant double bag boxes at Costco for $8, where as a single bag is usually $5, so it's worth it to go get a bunch of boxes and stock up. I got plenty of other shit, of course. 24 butter croissants, frozen vegetable yakisoba, chicken breasts, Pocky, you name it.
I've been home for less than an hour, and we've already hit the croissants and the yakisoba.
Now, I shall try to enjoy the rest of my day off. I think we'll watch the second half of Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. It's been pretty entertaining so far. I've never watched Eurovision, so some of that is lost on me, but maybe I'll try it next time. If it's half as bonkers as they show it in the movie, it seems like a lot of fun.
After that, maybe we'll try watching something else. I tried watching Cursed, but it didn't really grab me. This is sad, because I love me some Arthurian bullshit. Maybe I'll give it a second episode. Hopefully the VFX improve, because damn. They were Scorpion King level bad. I know it's low budget, but even with that, I'd expect better.
Now I think I shall go hit the Pocky.
