My body and brain are a giant bag of dicks. I could be sleeping in today. However late I wanted! But alas, no. Six AM, I'm AWAKE. I tried laying in bed until about quarter til seven, but I just couldn't relax, and I think I was making Jess restless, so up I got. Joy, joy.

I'm again having the "wanna do stuff" thing. Nevermind that there is nothing to do, AND we're broke this week. No, the brain is convinced that there are things that should be done. I mean, I get it, we've been basically stuck inside since mid-March, and cabin fever is a thing. Still. Get with the program, brain!

I'm a little sore today after putting together the desk, but it was totally worth it! I have a little office area, y'all. Everything just fit into the space perfectly. When we get the rest of the junk room cleaned out, I'll probably move the desk, since it;'s right in front of a window, but in the meantime, the shade'll just have to stay closed, so as not to blind me. I went to Walmart, and got a wee little desk lamp, so that'll cover me in the meantime.

And we got it done just in time for work to send an email letting us know we'll be working from home for the rest of the year. If we hadn't done it, that would have meant that we'd probably be scrambling to set it up this weekend anyway. I was in the dining room/living room because we didn't know how long it was going to last, but now that we know that it's at least another five months, it's worth it. And even when I'm not working from home any more, Jess'll be able to use it as a writing space. I'm hoping in the next few months, we can get the rest of the shit cleaned out, and maybe put some bookshelves in, and a comfy chair, maybe a table for the SodaStream that I'm totally getting this payday.

I've been considering a SodaStream for a while, not for sodas, but because I'm addicted to fizzy water. It'll be cheaper long run than buying Perrier or San Pelligrino, or even the Aldi brand of seltzer water, and better for the environment. The local Bed, Bath and Beyond has a CO2 cartridge exchange, so not even that is wasted. I probably won't even try the flavorings, but I know Jess and Dad will probably enjoy them, so we will get some.

I'm still loving my little Pixelbook. It's so fast! I can pull up apps in less than a second, and the keyboard is awesome. It's perfect for what I do. I'm not big on photo editing and I'm not going to be vidding, so it works well. It's funny, in all the reviews I mainlined while I was waiting for it, they bitched about the screen not being ultra HD, but it seems very crisp and bright to me. As Jess says, I'm love it.
