This year is blowing by. Happy and blessed Beltane to those who celebrate!
Things around here have been in a holding pattern. In January, Dad had a flare up of diverticulitis. This has led to a 4month odyssey of hospital and rehab center. He had to have a colostomy bag put in, which will be fun no doubt. He’s still at the very nice rehab center (#2, as #1 sucked horribly.) Hopefully he’ll be home soon. It seems like he’s getting pretty strong and is about ready to be sprung.
In other news, I applied for a new position at work, and was lucky enough to be chosen. I’ll be off the phones doing casework. I start that next week. These last three days are going to be torture. I just want to get on with it!
Haven’t seen Endgame yet, as both Jess and I came down with a cold/cough/fever bug. I’m still coughing like a Chevy trying to turn over. The joys of asthma. Jess seems to have taken a harder hit, and sounds terrible. If they don’t perk up soon, it’s back to urgent care.
