This just warms the cockles of my little black heart. *giggle*

*snore*
So, after 9 months of Neurontin, I'm weaning off it. I don't think it's helping much at all, if any, plus the side effects suck ass. I'm hoping that I get most of my brain cells back once it's out of my system. On www.crazymeds.us, they call it Morontin, which is very apt. It makes me forget words, lose thoughts, and just totally be prone to forgetting important things. Also, since that's not annoying enough, it reduces the overall effectiveness of the pain meds I'm on by up to 20%. Whoohoo.
Aside from that I'm hoping that my health insurance will be kicking in on November first, and then I can go about the business of getting fixed. The one downside may be that there is a pre-existing condition clause, but I may be able to pay that down. We shall see. I'm slowly coming around to the fact that I may need surgery, though it scares the ever living fuck out of me. The thing that bothers me most isn't the surgery, though that does too. The thing that freaked me out was the post surgery stuff. Most importantly that after the surgery they need to keep your head still for the bones to set there's a variety of ways to do that, one of which is the halo brace. That, right there, scares me. I don't want a halo brace screwed into my skull.
But, as Jess said, we'll get through it. *Shrug*
Spent Saturday with the coven.
alysonwonderlan had a lovely ritual, and
earthkat kindly let us bogart her puppy for much big-dog snuggling and cuddles. I love Kyan, but god, I miss a dog you can thump.
I still haven't been sleeping as well as I'd like. Case in point, I woke up at five today, and no amount of laying there was getting me back to sleep. On the plus(?) side, I got to work early and...did absolutely nothing.
