So, I asked Mona to interview me, and here are her questions and my answers:

1) Describe your first-ever RL fannish-friend encounter. Who was it?
Which fandom did you meet them in? What was it like?

Wow. Um. My first RL fannish friend encounter was in the wrestling fandom. There used to be a website called "Rowdygirls WCW Zone." I'd ened up on a website with Rowdygirl and another couple girls, especially one named "Saddles of Africa." I started chatting with them regularly, and we ended up meeting during Starrcade weekend in 97. By that time, Rowdy and Saddles were together and this was their first meeting in person. They were here for nearly a week, which was a blast, involving us running all over creation, going to indy shows, the WCW shows in DC and Baltimore, and Hershey park. It was a lot of fun, but I was kinda left with the "I like them, but these are not quite "my" people vibe.

2) What are your awful, feel-like-a-bad-person Fannish Pet Peeves? What
happens that isn't strictly "against the rules" but just DRIVES YOU
INSANE? (i.e. when people post really long fic-headers in comms or my
"beta twitch" about wandering POV in fic)

I hate POV switches, I loathe when the author puts bracket into the story with their comments. But the thing that pisses me off most of all is links. I hate when you click on a link to a story, and find another link to their journal under the cut. It just turns off.

3) What do you feel LJ "gives" you? Why are you here? What draws you
here, if anything, aside from fandom?
I have a lot of RL friends on LJ, so it lets me keep up with them, lets us update each other on important things. And, of course, it let me participate in fandom, and meet new people, who then became RL friends, and now lets me keep up with them. Plus, I'm a feedback whore. I'll admit it. And, it's (damn you and PT) introduced me to new shows and fandoms.

4) What sort of religious attitude were you raised with (which religion,
how observant is family/household? How do you feel this influences you
and your attitude toward religion today?

My family is pretty solidly Catholic. My father attended mass every week, and my mother's a Christmas/Easter Catholic. Dad's currently considering checking out the local Unitarian church, because he's tired of the Catholic rhetoric. I think it prepared me well for paganism, since Catholicism is all about its rituals. I'm kinda like my mother, though. I'm not horribly observant, but i hit the major holidays. *grin*

5) Tell me your Fannish Mankinks. What "type" or what sort of traits are
you drawn to in male characters? (Bad Boy? Captain America?
Squishy-Hearted-Deep-Inside Hero? Hot Geekboy? Tormented With A Dark
Past?)

I think my favorite types are the ones who are snarky and assholish, but not bad people. (See also, Winchester, John or Gekko, Seth) And the more fucked in the head, the better. Also, I like guys who go against type. Big, strong guys who like bottoming, or are submissive. Macho guys who like to get fucked by a girl with a strap on. That type.
