So much for updating Monday. *shrug*
I managed to get a bit of a cold on vacation, which royally kicked my ass Monday and Tuesday, so I can't say I got much done beyond work. (and not a whole lot of that, either!) But that seems to have gone mostly away, thankfully. I still have congestion in my chest, but don't I always?
The shoulder is healing...slowly. My boss figures I dislocated it partially when I fell for it to still be this bad (also because for a while I truly couldn't lift it. Not that it hurt, but that the muscles simply won't respond beyond a certain point.). He's got me doing gentle exercises with it, and trying not to overuse it. I can now lift my arm slightly above shoulder height, which is a major improvement. Every so often it still "catches", though, so I'm wearing the sling now and then, more as a reminder to myself not to overdo it.
Vacation was frenetic, but good. Spent a lot of time with Jess' parents, which was nice. Selfishly, I'd have liked a little more alone time, but I enjoyed getting to see them. We didn't do much as far as bringing stuff back, really. Our lone purchases were from the little artisan area in downtown San Antonio. There was this great copperworks, and they had beautiful copper bells with this great sound to them. We picked up one set of them strung on hemp rope, and are going to hang them as wind chimes, and one single one for pagany things.
Aside from that, not much new. Been thoroughly busy this week, not helped by my inability to move my arm much. Discovered that I can lift a 74 lb child with one hand if need be for shots on Monday, go me.
Am currently plotting my Yule gifts for the coven/christmas presents for friends/family. *thwaps head* I can't believe it's December already!
