Back to work after a lovely day off. Got a lot accomplished for a change.
But first, since Jess posted hers, ( weight loss stuff )
We actually went to Weight Watchers on Tuesday instead of Wednesday, since Shelly had to work, and also since they were calling for nice weather yesterday, and Jess and I were hoping to get to go swimming at the quarry.
Jess had to work for a couple hours in the morning, which was fine. It just meant that I got an early start on errands. I took a pair of jeans to have a hem put in them, as they are boot cut, and cannot be rolled up.
I got them Sunday, when we went to Wal Mart, and I love them. They're a stretch jean, which I like, in a brand that I've never fit in before. I call them my Lance jeans, as they're a dark denim with the lighter patches on the thighs, and Jess nearly jumped me when she saw them on me. I liked that, too. *grin* They'll go well with the high heeled boots Sonya gave me last year.
Finished writing the Samhain meditation that I started Sunday night. One of those ways you know when you're a pagan: the Lady decides to visit in the middle of your shower, and downloads a large chunk of info into your brain. I also don't really consciously remember coming up with parts of it. I do remember typing one part and thinking "How does this tie in to the theme? WTF?" and then I re-read it, and went, "Oh! Got it. It comes back around. Wow."
We're streamlining the ritual a bit this year. Since Samhain is
tobiasnevermore's and my ritual, it ends up being 1 part insanity, and 1 part Hollywood effects to every five parts solemn and sacred. All in all, it works for the coven, and that's what's important.
This is my third year performing the ritual, but it's our first one in the new house, so I'm kind of hoping to make it special. We're planning it to be an indoor ritual, with the hopes that if it's a perfect night, we'll move it outdoors.
After that, I picked Jess up, and we went to Pizza Hut for lunch, because I was having serious cravings. Mmm...cheese. We ate, and went home for a few hours relaxation (during which we really didn't relax at all. *leer*).
Then, it was off to the Beaver Dam Swim Club, at the Quarry. God, I've missed that this summer. It was so nice to take a few moments to swim, and relax, and just enjoy the afternoon. Then, it was home to watch cheesy movies and relax. *sigh* Life is good.
