Back at work after a 5 day break, which was heartily enjoyed.
Wednesday and Thursday, we mostly puttered around in Baltimore. Wednesday, we went to the Zoo, which was much fun, and still got us back in time for Kyan's doggie class. Thursday, we went antiquing with Shelly, and then the three of us took Kyan to the park for a long walk. It ended up being more of a hike, as he dragged us up hills, over fallen trees, here, there and everywhere. He fell in the river twice, which required a bath upon returning home, but really, a good time was had by all, and we were very proud of the boy for being so brave.
Friday was wonderful, down to DC for lunch with
alysonwonderlan and wandering through the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Was kind of crowded with children, but fun was still had. Afterwards, we strolled along the Mall, and watched the blazing orange sun slide behind the Washington Monument, standing like a giant erect cock in the sky. *nod* As Jess said, we kissed in front of it, and tourists took pictures. Which led us to think about starting a picture campaign for gay marriage, which would involve taking pictures of gay couples kissing in front of national monuments/single or gay-sympathetic people holding rainbow flags, with the tagline "It's our country, too." Am still pondering this.
Saturday, we piddled around, shopped at various stores and debated movies, but really did nothing. *shrug* I have no problem with that, cause we had fun. And I got $5 jeans at Target on clearance.
Sunday, Jess had to work, so we didn't do all that much, though I made tasty pizza for lunch. Deep Dish pepperoni! mmmmm.... Goddess bless Chef Boyardee kits.
Kisses to everyone! Especially to my baby, who I had a wonderful time spending quality time with.
Now, am working on my dawnrising articles and sending out a rejection notice to the one story that didn't make the grade. Go me.
