What a day!
Started out this morning with a call from our proposed puppy Dottie's foster mom, saying that she didn't think Dottie would be a good match with kitties, since she's been getting very agressive with the foster mom's smaller dogs lately. They were working with a trainer to curb it, but it's not taking. She needs to be in a one pet household. Bummer.
So, our search continued. Hit petfinder again, and found a couple cuties. One in Virginia, one in Mt. Airy, MD. I called both, and left messages, but we decided to go check out the SPCA in the meantime.
Found a couple cuties there, but none that seemed right.
So, we headed out, and were heading to Defenders for a look when the Mt. Airy puppy people called. We chatted for a while, and she seemed really enthusiastic, said she'd send me an application.
There wasn't any puppies to fit the bill at Defenders, so I came home and sure enough , there was an aplication in my e-mail.
Filled it out and sent it back, then went to get dinner together. Not an hour later, mom's former boss called, saying that they'd contacted her. Damn, fast work! I hadn't even had a chance to call people and warn them.
Before the end of dinner, she'd called us back, and it's looking like it's a done deal. We're going to go Friday to meet him, and then, they'll come visit us, maybe on Saturday, and they'll bring him with them.
So, without further ado, or long rambling story, meet Picasso!
