So, one last day before the chaos hits.

Oh, wait. It hit earlier this week. So one last day of chaos, maybe?

Only a few little things to get done today. I have to pack up all the ritual stuff, thank god for wheelie suitcases. We created a fan for [livejournal.com profile] themiserychick to use to waft air at us. Sorry, Sare...it looks like Big bird molted on it. It's very sunshiny yellow and all, but daaamn. I need to wrap some ribbon around the handle, and it's good to go.

Jess found a lovely seashell for [livejournal.com profile] moosesal to play with. *smirk* It's a pretty spiral shell, which is a nice size to fit in the palm of your hand. When we had trouble finding a shell, there was some discussion about giving Sal a water gun, but fortunately, it didn't come to that.

So, what's left for us to do tonight is to swing by Michaels, grab some more mini glue sticks, hot glue the hell out of Margot's bouquet, hot glue some ribbon around the handle of the big bird fan, maybe grab a cute swag for the arch, to go with the cool rolls of tulle that [livejournal.com profile] alysonwonderlan kindly got us.

Right now, weather.com is predicting rain, so I may grab another roll of each color, so as to decorate the ritual room properly. *grin* I really am turning into some bizarre dyke version of Martha Stewart. With a hot glue gun. *snerk*

Also, must get some non-graveyard dirt that we can use in ritual. I'd use salt, but in the (unlikely) event that it's outside after all, I don't want to kill the vegetation. All I have at the moment is graveyard dirt from various Samhain rituals/New Orleans. Not exactly my first choice for a wedding.

Must finish off my head piece, just glue the strands together and tie some blue ribbon through it, make little trailers. If I do that, I may also lop the purple ribbon off my bouquet and put blue on it. It would make more sense.

Then, I shall run over and get some cool incense, and a red candle for the one I inadvertently melted by leaving in the car. *shrug* Ah, the fun of it.

In the "patients are idiots" category for the day, we have my first patient. The parents called 25 minutes after their scheduled appointment to tell us that they were going to miss it. Well, duh. Then, the father called to say that instead of doing a 9 month check up, they'd rather skip it, do the shots, and see us for the 1 year appointment. So, this morning, when they came in, I got to do a mini check up. It consisted of height and weight and all the developmental questions. I then gave shots, plotted her on the growth chart, and gave the synopsis of the 9 month hand out on discipline for toddlers. The only thing I didn't do was the actual exam. If I liked the parents more, I'd probably have really enjoyed it, but they're idiots.

So, now back to work.

Bored, bored, bored, bored.

I could be doing so much more than I can here. I've got a wedding to do tomorrow afternoon! Yeesh.

I should have done the intelligent thing and brought all my stuff with me today, but I didn't even think about it. Besides, not much I can do without the glue and ribbons. *shrug* Ah well, I'll have plenty of time tonight.

Mostly, I could be cuddling my Jess and going to see the Hulk tonight, instead of sitting at home while she's doing the midnight Harry Potter release. The stress of the last week kind of came to a head last night, and we had a little decompression incident. Nothing horrendous, just the complications of the last week or so catching up. Remember, up until about two and a half months ago, we thought we'd be doing this at a campground in Delaware, therefore it was a pretty simple affair.

Once it got moved to the covenstead, things quickly got more complicated. Yet again, I need to worship in the direction of [livejournal.com profile] tiadawn, [livejournal.com profile] earthkat and Margot, because if I had to coordinate food too, I'd be in the looney bin.

Now, I'm still really looking forward to it, but there's a small part of me that will be very happy when it's done, and things go back to normal. I need a nap. I need a few days without seeing the inside of Michaels or AC Moore.

So, tomorrow will be wonderful, beautiful, and a blast, and sacred, and amazing. And I can't wait. And then, I will start planning the big family one in three years, cause I ain't doing this last minute shit again. Argh.

Weather.com now says that there's an 80% chance of rain. Ah well, bring it on. We'll still have a blast. *nod*

Still bored.

Have been reduced to making little surgical tape rosettes. Am becoming more and more nervous/excited about tomorrow.

Realized that pictures could be pretty problematic if we're going to be indoors. I forsee a game of "pass the camera to whoever can get the shot" going on during the ritual. Ah well, whatever it takes. Picked up a four pack of color film, plus a roll of black and white for the post-ritual posed shots. *grin* They should be interesting.

I am so fucking bored.

I needed the Harry Potter book to come out last night. I could totally be done the damned thing by now. *snort* Buggers.

As is, I'm debating on whether I'm going to the midnight party or not. On one hand, I want the goddamn book. On the other, it'll be lost sleep, with a wedding tomorrow afternoon. Ah, screw it. I'll probably go.
