I've been in an oddly good mood the last couple of days, with no actual reasoning behind it. Not a manic state, just cheerful. It's not Christmas spirit, or even Yule spirit. I'm still oddly apathetic about both. I think it's the lack of Hershey trip, really. The lights and sounds put me in the mood every year. But, we're hoping to get up there on Friday. At the very least, we all need to get to the Hershey Factory, to get some things for Christmas/Yule gifts. *nod* For the most part, people are getting home made stuff this year, but c'mon, Hershey kisses the size of your fist for $2? Yeah, I can do that.
As of today, Jess is officially into exam time, which is cool. It means that I get more time with her--like on Wednesday, we get the whole day, until she has to go to work at five. I'm thinking LOTR:TTT early, before the little shits get out of school and annoy me. (This is, of course, assuming that we don't do the midnight showing on Tues as my birthday present to me.) I am secure in my geekdom.
On the birthday front, can't believe that I'll be thirty in three days. Gah. It doesn't really bother me, per se, it's just staggering to think that I've lived that long. It's been an interesting ride so far, to say the least. I wish I was better off financially, but I'm working on that, and besides, when it's all said and done, I'd rather say that I stood by my family, and helped them out when they needed it than to say I'm rich. I've done so much already, chased down dreams that a lot of people never even get to try.
And if the dreams gave me the occasional bloody nose when they kicked me down, they more than made up for it with the wonders they've shown me. And it led me to the person who I'm proud to say I plan to spend my life with. I'll take that trade any day. I can't even begin to imagine what they have in store for me in the next thirty years!
And now that I've babbled incoherently, been an uber sap, and rambled wildly, I'm going to do some work.
