Mondays are for updates. I swear.
So, my weekend was pretty much a bust. On the way home from work on Saturday, the car in front of the van I was behind hit his brakes, and turned. The van, having no car in front of it, stopped without incident. I did not, and rear-ended said van. Doesn't look like much damage to my car, but I'm still feeling the effects a little, as my back and shoulder are both pissy. Either that, or I'm revving up for Stupid Bob. Ended up canceling Jess' class and Full moon because I wasn't up to driving to Crownsville/sitting in the car for the 45 minute drive with back spasms.
Aside from that, Grandmom's back in the hospital with a wicked bladder infection. Being diabetic, she doesn't feel the burning, so they usually go unnoticed until they get really bad. She was basically crying every time she moved by the time we convinced her to go to the hospital. Stubborn, stubborn woman. I can't imagine where I get it from.
So, the weekend was kind of a "meh" on those levels.
The weird thing is, I'm not that upset about either of those things. I mean, yeah, they sucked, but I'll get over them. Lately, I've been feeling really good. Kind of freaky good. Like for the last I don't know how long, I've been living under a gray veil. Suddenly, I'm bursting with creativity again, and energy, and oh, god, a sex drive from hell. Poor Jess. All of a sudden, she's getting jumped every five minutes. THough, to be fair, haven't heard complaints. *smirk*
Now, off to do some work, and write more fic. Cari, you'll understand what I mean when I say, "Shit. It's like All Roads, all over again."

Date: 2006-05-16 12:39 pm (UTC)Grandmom's got us all a little worried this time. She just doesn't seem to be bouncing back as quick as we'd like. But, we'll just cross our fingers and wait it out.

I love seeing you so happy, and creative, and I'm not saying a word about the whole sex drive. *grin*
Though excuse me while I point and laugh and roll about the over the whole fic thing. Because All Roads? Oh I'm way too amused by this.

Date: 2006-05-16 12:46 pm (UTC)The car's driveable, so I really don't care if the front's a little bumped up. If they'll realign the wheels, and touch up the paint so it won't rust, I'd be happy.
And yes. I started this fic going "It'll be maybe...75-80 pages." Now that we're at 84, I'm going "Um..120?" Realistically, it'll probably top out around 160.
*points at icon* Look, Dean being hot and crazy. Is it helping? Would the shirtless one be better?
