Took a couple of days off this week, which was exceedingly nice.

Normally, we'd head up to Lancaster, and stay at the Fulton Steamboat Inn, as normally they have dirt cheap rates this time of year. I guess it didn't make them money, though, so this year, they had normal rates, blah. So, instead, we did three days of day trips.

First day, we went to the Inner Harbor, and played at the science center. Had much fun, reminded ourselves that we are indeed serious geeks. Went to Little Italy for dinner, and had very yummy pasta at Della Notte. Also had a v. pushy waitress who seemed to believe that her job was to upsell everything in the pricey-ass menu. No, I don't want wine. Tap water is good. No, we're splitting our appetizer, and dessert. Fuck off. Still, the food was excellent, as I had ravioli in a pesto cream sauce, which was good enough to make me ignore the price tag. Jess had potato gnocci in the same pesto cream sauce, which were delightfully tender. *nod*

Second day, we kind of puttered around. Went to Annapolis, both the mall and the waterfront, then to Arundel Mills to play. Had lunch at Copelands, with tasty Cajun food. Then, came back to Baltimore and had dinner at the Phillips buffett at Harborplace. Jess and I made total piggies of ourselves on snow crab legs...mmmm.... I think between us, we finished off a small herd of crabs. Maybe not even a small herd. Also had other tasty seafood bits like fried clam strips, steamed mussles, shrimpies, crawfish, and oysters. Sooo good. So full. Toddled back to the car, and came home for much athletic sex.

Yesterday, we drove to Hershey, had lunch at Cracker Barrell, and shopped at the outlets. Then, had dinner at Hoss' (which has SUCH good steaks, omg.) and came home to hit the gym. Then, more athletic sex and bed.

Also found upon returning home that Jess' parents sent us both fluffy robes from Land's End. Jess' is a pretty cream color, and mine is a soft baby blue. They're so good to us. *nod*

Today, am back at work, whee. Nah, it's not that bad. I actually really enjoyed the time off, and now am pretty much ready to do some work.

This weekend, we might go up to Longwood Gardens for the last day of their festival of fountains. It could be fun. *shrug* Or, we might watch dvds all weekend, who knows?
