Some mornings, you just don't want to get up. I knew yesterday that the monthly visitor was imminent (considering what a royal bitch I was) but it still sucks ass when it arrives. Am tired, in that "a-truck-ran-over-my-torso" way, as per usual for the first day. Some days, I hate being a girl. Also, I have a huge fucking fever blister. Fucking herpes virus.
Despite my overall level of cranky yesterday, we got a lot done, including some grocery shopping, a run around Loyola college to see what it's like, stopping at a few apartment complexes, picking up prescriptions, and getting gas (*wince* My god, I want a hybrid).
Loyola is a lovely school, and oddly, it seems that their GLBT group is considerably more active than the one at Towson. It's very cool, yet kind of funny, considering y'know, Jesuit school. We picked up all the paperwork, and some info packets on the school. It looks very nice, and like it might be a good fit for Jess.
As far as the apartment complexes, we might have found the one. Rodger's Forge Apartments was amazing, and not horribly expensive. It's got more space than any two people would need-more than enough to have people over for dinner, or to have the coven over for business meetings, or to have students visit (should we ever get a couple more). It would be nice to have enough room to have our desks in a corner with bookshelves and possibly a nice table to lay out timeline and research materials, yet still have plenty of room for an actual living room area.
And now...
Yesterday was also the fifth anniversary of one of the most important days of my life.
Thank you for five wonderful years, my love. We've had good times, bad times, and everything in between, but I wake up every day knowing that I'm loved, and cherished. I hope that I make you feel the same. Here's to a lifetime of love, mi alma. I look forward to the next five years...and beyond. *kiss* I love you, my friend, my partner in crime, my co-author, the live of my life, my wife.
