It's Tuesday and St. Patrick's Day! I hope everyone has the green and the corned beef and cabbage ready to go! (I certainly do.) I have made plans on how I'm cooking everything this year. (Potatoes and corned beef together, Cabbage with cut up bacon, sauteed until it's tender.). I've got the timing down and I'm ready to go.

Yesterday was utterly bugfuck at work. I kept glancing at the Queue and finding 25 calls waiting. Or once, 27. I spent a lot of time on the phone, except when I had people to call back. Towards the end of the day, I made a few calls to fill a couple of cardiac slots, which went exceptionally well. I was able to schedule a patient who drives nearly two hours for two cardiac scans within hours of each other. I was very pleased with it, one of the neater solutions to two open slots that I've found. And the pt was thrilled and very appreciative, so that always makes you feel good.

And that was two of the three cardiac scans I need to fill. Today I'll work on Friday's slot and see what I can find.

The weather of doom the meteorologists had been predicting (severe storms, tornadoes, wind) never showed up. It rained, fairly hard, but I never saw a flash of lightning, much less anything else. I was very grateful, as that meant Yoda did not try to crawl in my lap while I was working. Today, after a high of 65 yesterday, it will be a high of 39. Gotta love those nice weather changes. It's no wonder I have migraines.

Jess made grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. They were excellent. I forget how much I like grilled cheese until I have one. Jess did an excellent job, and I may let them cook more often. Though they did have to deal with my backseat cooking. I have a hard time going and sitting down and shutting up. I did force myself to, but I was still calling "helpful" bits of advice to them.

I will do better next time.

Today, I shall work, and then at lunch, I shall get my corned beef and potatoes prepped to go in the oven around 3:30pm. It shall roast for two hours. After work, I shall slice and cook the cabbage with some nice bacon, getting it coated and leaving it studded with bits of bacon. Jess actuall likes cabbage cooked like that, where as boiled is not their thing. The potatoes are okay boiled, the cabbage is not. Or, I suppose I could roast the potatoes separately and add some olive oil and Hawaiian sea salt. That would probably be good on them. Hm, might do that.

Tomorrow, I have work, then doctor's appt. I have a few things to talk about. They're going to run an H1AC to check my sugar. If it's high, I want to switch from Rybelsus to Mounjaro. I don't feel the Rybelsus has worked that well over the last year or so. Probably since I got fired from 911, and went two months without insurance, and couldn't afford it. It just never got back to the same potency. We'll see. I also need to talk about the scopolamine patch for the cruise. Aside from that, I'll just be the normal shit. Everything else is pretty good, so I don't forsee any problems.

I'm wondering if they'll announce my new job this week, or wait til it's official on the 22nd? I have no idea. J asked my workstation number yesterday, so I'm assuming I'm getting more software soon. That's usually how it shows up. Otherwise, I think all my stuff is ready for Monday. Am I ready for Monday? Not really. I still need to talk to them about what the job will look like. Will I still be taking any calls? I'm not hooked into the RADSET email yet, so I'll need that if they ever want me to work the inbox. I was going to ask yesterday, but it was full on chaos, so I just let it ride.

I can't wait for my title to change. I'm looking forward to seeing PAS III on all my shit. I need to check the other two III's email and see if they use PAS III in their emails or PAS Lead. I'd prefer lead, but I don't want to ruffle any feathers. I need to update my signature, but I'll wait til I'm announced or official, whichever comes first. Don't get me wrong, I'm also looking forward to more money, but I want that recognition more.

I love the other PAS IIIs, but sometimes they give advice that makes me cringe. There's one Cardiac MRI that they put on Columbia's schedule that I know is going to come back to me to be moved. PVCs are not one of their diagnoses that they can do. But that is a problem for future me.

The rest of the week should be quiet, followed up by an all games weekend. We've got one on Friday, two on Saturday, and then one on Sunday. Sunday's, I just need to play. I got artwork of my character done, and I love it so much. She looks like she could just step off the page and play a song.

I won a few things in a quarter auction, so I need to swing up to the animal rescue and pick them up. They're mostly scenty things, but that's okay. Maybe I'll like some of them.

I ordered a couple of more things for the cruise. I got travel size shampoo and conditioner coming. Next up, I'm going to order undies and socks, which are definitely needed. Jess and I use the same kind of socks, so I'm figuring on ordering like three packs of those, and probably 2 more packs of underwear. I tend to overpack, so I'm going to want at least 12 pairs of underwear in that suitcase, since we're gone for 10 days. Socks aren't quite as bad. We can rewear those on days when we're not walking a ton. I'd like to get another USB fan for the bedroom, so that we'll stay cool. Maybe another USB A to USB C cord. Otherwise, I think I'm okay.

Okay, time to get myself together for the day. Everyone have an awesome Tuesday (St Patrick's Day)!
