beansideStarting out Monday with a thin layer of snow over everything. I was going to go see Dad this morning, but now I may wait til later...except I just looked at the forecast for later, and it's more snow, starting at 1pm. Jeeze. It went from snow tonight into tomorrow to 2-4" today. Awesome. It's not really supposed to start until around 1, but still. Ugh.
Yesterday, I spent the day chatting with friends, and not a whole lot else. I'm plotting an encounter for Frostmaiden, and the story beats are working out well. I'm sure the encounter will change once it's hit by my chaos goblins, but I feel like I've got a good start. Also, it's a touch of "Here come the consequences, the consequences of my own actions," which is my favorite thing to do, so I'm excited. Downside, it doesn't happen for three weeks.
Today, I'll work on The one shot I'm running on Friday. It would probably be good if I actually read the module.
I probably will go see Dad this morning, just in case it gets worse this afternoon, but we'll see. There's a coffee truck at the rehab this morning, so I could get him a coffee and a treat on my way in, so that's possible.
Tomorrow, hopefully the nice people at Hopkins will email or call me, so I can start getting stuff set up. I've gotta figure out a time to get both my flu and covid shots before I start working, since Hopkins requires it. Not that I'm going to be doing anything with people, since I'm work from home, but it is a requirement. I need to time them just right, since the covid shot always knocks me out for a couple of days. I'm thinking about going one Sunday, since then I'll have Monday and Tuesday to recover. Flu shot normally isn't a problem, and I'll probably get them seperately just to minimize side effects.
I just want to get everything on the books, so I'm ready to go on 2/12.
Okay, if I'm going to go see Dad, it's time for me to consider the merits of putting on pants. Everyone have an excellent Monday!
