beansideIt's Friday! For me it's day two off. Today will mostly be relaxing and going to get my hair trimmed, maybe watching the Great British Bake Off. Also, I think I'm going to call my psych and see about a setting up a ADHD screening. I'm wondering if that would help me with work. The problem is that some of ADHD's symptoms are close to anxiety and depression, so it's hard to see which one at fault. Still, it can't hurt. My insurance covers it 100%, so I might as well. If it turns out to be ADHD, it might help me with the job.
Plus, my psych has a new office, so it's not as terribly hard to get appointments, so I better do it now.
Tonight, we have Strahd, which will be awesome. I realize yesterday, I said they were in the Amber Temple, but it's actually Argynsvosholt. They still may be a touch underleveled, but not as horribly as the Amber Temple, which may well be a bloodbath. This will only be a little bit of a bloodbath. But it'll be interesting to say the least. It's okay, the cleric has both Spare the Dying and Revivify. They'll be fine. I've never killed a player charachter in 3 years of DMing, but if it's going to happen, it's going to be during Strahd. The thing is, I have a LOT of players. So they can do amazing amounts of damage, but they're also only 6th level so they're relatively fragile too.
Yesterday was a little busier than expected. My sister was having issues with her debit card and instacart, so she asked me to place the order. Problem was, that delivered it to home instead of her work. SO, I ended up driving the goodies over to her, because they were doing their Thanksgiving lunch, and I had the Redi Whip. Traffic was utter shite both ways. Actually on the drive back, I ended up calling Jess and whining for them to entertain me, because I was going 2 miles an hour at the good end.
Eventually, I got through the jam--it was a nasty looking accident, which made me feel more charitable about the traffic--and headed to Aldi to pick up my order. Then, it was home for two(!) episodes of the GBBO and general relaxation.
Well, shit. Just realized that I failed to get anything out of the freeer for dinner. Guess I'll go see what we have that will defrost quickly. Everyone have a perfectly lovely Friday!
