beansideAnd that fast, it's time to get ready for work again. I emjoyed my two days off, but I'm definitely looking forward to next week when I have 3. I'm a bit sleepy this morning for no apparent reason. I'm chugging my coffee in hopes of perking up a bit.
Had another nice, low key day yesterday. Did mostly nothing at all. Watched an episode of the Great British Baking Show. (Go Tasha!) Sat on my ass until 3, when I headed over to my shrink's new office for an appointment. New office is every bit a brand new psych office, complete with soothing sound machine and freshly painted walls. We did the full intake, so it took about 40 minutes, in the most uncomfortable chair on the planet. It was one of those that looked nice and cushiony, but when you sat, it was straight upright, so you couldn't relax at all. I like my psych doctor, but I don't have a deep emotional connection. All I need him to do is write my prescriptions. Now that I have a schedule, I'm going to set up a therapy appointment, too. So far, the job isn't stressing me out, but I haven't had any really gnarly calls yet, so that may change.
I'm curious if I'm going to be the only one there this week. Like I had mentioned, my co trainee has to go on bereavement leave, so she may be out. I'll definitely get a lot of practice time.
I know it probably won't be my permanent schedule, but I'm emjoying day shift. Getting up at 4:45 is kind of pants, but getting off at 3:00 is rather nice. It gives me a couple of hours to do stuff.
I like working the weekends. Less chance of having cars up my ass on the drive to work. I hate the dark and windy roads, so I tend to go dead on the speed limit, and the cars behind me haaaate me. I don't actually care though. I'm driving tiny country roads around dawn. There are fucking deer everywhere. I'm going to take my time and watch for eyes.
I feel bad that Jess and I can't go out more, but we'll have weekends starting this next weekends for 3 weeks. Then, it'll be a few weekends without, then back to three of them. which'll be nice. And while I'm working, they can go to the library and have some nice quiet time.
Okay, gonna go forth and get myself together. Everyone have a most wonderful Saturday!
