beansideI actually managed to sleep in. until 8am on this day of rest. The cat kindly let me be, aside from a 5am foray to put her butt in my face.
We again have nothing to do until game at 5:30 today, though we'll be dad watching most of it, since my sister has a viewing this afternoon for a second cousin who passed unexpectedly. She should be back in plenty of time for our game tonight. I should probably consider going with them, either tot he viewing or the funeral on Tuesday, since I'm not doing anything else. I did care for this cousin. She was always kind, and remembered my birthday with a card. Maybe on Tuesday, I'll get myself together and go.
Yesterday was a quiet day for the most part. Jess and I did go out for a little while to go window shopping for tops for me. First we went to Ross, which was mostly a bust. A few cuteish tops, but nothing that had me in love. So, we decided to go to Lane Bryant and Torrid to take a peek.
Lane Bryant had some cute stuff. I will not deny it. But nothing just reached out and grabbed me. My heart lies with Torrid, y'all. I found like five blouses that I wanted. Including this one. I'm not as in awe of it on the model, so it's definitely one that I'm going to have to see how it looks on me. As I've said to multiple people, on my first day especially, I want to go in looking nice. Cosplaying as a responsible adult, if you will.
Especially since I have to go to HR first, I don't want to look like a total schlub. I mean, judging by the interview, dress codes have changed a lot since I last did this. Or alternately, people just don't know how to dress professionally?) Seriously, there were people in shorts and flip flops for the test/interview.
Today is the first day that I would have worked, I'm wondering how things are going to go without me. It could be interesting, to be certain. In a little while I'll start texting people.
Okay, I hear dad stirring, so I'm going to go get him up. Everyone have a stupendous Sunday!
