beansideMy morning did not start brilliantly. Before I'd even had a sip of coffee, dad was calling. Nothing was put on to charge last night, so I was a little annoyed. and generally overstimmed. I'm settling down now, but still want to claw my ears off and throw them across the room.
So, continuing the weirdness that has been my recruiting for the Team Lead job, at 10am, the recruiter called. they'd like me to come in for a second interview. Awesome, great. I got moved through to the next round. They'd like me to come in at 2pm. In four hours. I am currently sitting there in bike shorts and a tshirt and have not had a bath in 2 days. So, into the shower I went, and I scramble together an outfit. Honestly, I'd prefer to do my interviews on a day when I'm not in the office. It's much easier to be able to leave at the end. The interview went pretty well, I think. We shall see.
The rest of the day was uneventful. The home health aid came in and gave him a bath. Took the time to shame us over how well we clean under his foreskin, which is always awesome. Apparently, while I was in my interview, the very blunt physical therapist came in and informed us that if he couldn't get back to walking after 6 months of daily rehab, he wasn't going to be able to do it in 8 weeks. It's the first therapist who hasn't blown smoke up our asses, so I appreciated it.
Then, it was time for Frostmaiden. They kicked off the boss battle, and are mid-fight with Auril at the moment. It's going pretty well for the party, but she still has some stuff up her sleeve.
Today, we have Mad Mage. We were going to go to a movie afterwards, but after further consideration, we decided to go somewhere nice for dinner instead and have a little grown up time. We'll see Mission Impossible in a couple of weeks, maybe. I'd rather be able to relax and chat with Jess and have a really good meal. We decided on Madrid Spanish Taverna in Columbia, because I can't remember the last time I had Spanish food.
Okay, time to go get myself together for Mad Mage. Everyone have the best Saturday!
